PAUL RUDKO It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Paul Rudko at the Riverview Health Centre on November 1, 2006. Left to cherish his memory is his business partner and loving wife Rose. Paul was born on July 20, 1920, on the family family near Arborg, MB. While attending school in Winnipeg he spent his holiday breaks working on home renovation jobs - an endeavour at which he showed a tremendous capacity and interest. After marriage to Rose in 1946, he ran the family business with his father-in-law, Marion Schempek. In 1955 they relocated to Winnipeg and he decided to use the skills he'd learned earlier to go into contracting and building homes - a passion he always possessed and was determined to pursue. He established the Rudrose Construction Company, which built homes in River Heights and Tuxedo, as well as several shopping centres. Paul was an avid curler, baseball player, Winnipeg Blue Bombers supporter and most of all a great fisherman. His family and friends will miss his quick wit and remember his kindness, loyalty and generosity. His lasting legacy will be his amazing sense of perseverance and courage. Thanks to the staff on D1 at Riverview Health Centre for their kindness and special thanks to nephew, Wayne Zuzanski, niece, Patricia Rudko, and most caring friend, Lewena Bayer.
