HARRY EATON March 25, 1929 - December 9,2006 Peacefully with his family by his side, Dad passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2006 at The Grace Hospital. Harry will be sadly missed by his loving wife and best friend Shirley, his children Mich (Gord), Rob (Debbie), April (Ken) and his stepsons, Dale (Donna) and Geoff Crouch, grandchildren, Jennifer, Stephanie, Amanda, Megan, Erin, Maureen, Robert, Carolyn, James and great-granddaughter Ryan. Harry will also be sadly missed by his sister Jean (Bill Spence) Pat, (Phil) Laurin of Winnipeg and brother Jack (Elaine) of Kingston, Ontario, also Princess, his beloved kitty. Harry was born in Winnipeg and spent his early childhood in Dallas, Manitoba before moving to Winnipeg. He joined the army reserves at the age of 18 and received the Canadian Forces Decoration for more than 12 years of service. Harry worked for Bubbs Electric as an electrician for many years, often traveling to the far north with his work. Harry loved fishing, golf, curling and more recently floor curling at the St. James Senior Center. In accordance with his wishes, Harry has been cremated. His remains will be interred in the Chapel Lawn Cemetery. A memorial service will be held on Thursday December 14, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
