ALEX LARIONOVS 1924 - 2006 On Saturday, December 9, 2006, Alex Larionovs passed away peacefully at the Pinawa General Hospital. He leaves to mourn his passing, his loving wife, Olga, and many relatives and friends in Latvia, Germany and Canada. Alex was born in Latvia and immigrated to Canada in 1952. He was a carpenter with the Government of Manitoba when he retired. He was an avid fisherman. Last year he and Olga moved to Pinawa so he could fish more often. In Pinawa, he made many friends. He also befriended several deer that came to visit everyday. He particularly enjoyed the one deer that he named Adonis. Alex was a true friend and generous man. We would like to thank his friends, Walter and Romana, and Dr. Nel and the staff at the Pinawa General Hospital for all their kindness. A memorial service will be held at the Klassen Funeral Home, 1897 Henderson Hwy., on Saturday, December 16 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Latvian Society, in care of O. Radovskis, 97 Lennox Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R2M 1B1.
