HEINZ REISER SR. On December 15, 2006, Heinz Reiser Sr. (Papa) passed away peacefully at the age of 88 years. Papa was predeceased by his wife, Liselotte; daughter, Annelore; brothers, Ernst and Hans and sisters, Ursula and Ilse. Left to cherish his memory are brother, Kurt, sister, Gerda H; son, Heinz Jr. (Jean); son-in-law, Jacob Friesen; grandchildren, Michelle (Dave), Susan, Richard (Charlotte), Rick (Lynda), Darrell and Danny; great-grandchildren, Devon and Shayle Reiser, Mira and Veronika Priestley and Liam Millar (mother Roxanne). Heinz will also be missed by numerous friends and family in Manitoba, Alberta and Switzerland. Papa was born in Nausitz, Germany in 1918 and immigrated to Canada with his family in 1964. He was first employed with Perth's Cleaners and later with Motor Coach Industries where he enjoyed a long and prosperous career. Papa enjoyed his retirement years at his cottage on Lee River. His favourite pass-times included fishing, playing rummy and spending time with friends and family; passing on his extensive wisdom. We will forever miss papa's spirit, sense of humour and his entertaining stories. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at the Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street. Interment will be in Brookside Cemetery. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of the Winnipeg Fire and Paramedic Services, HSC Emergency, nurse Ruth, Dr. Peters, the Swiss Society and Urs Eng for all their support. A very special thank-you to Donna Guile, Lourdes Reimer, Rosie Zerdin and especially Harold and Valerie Martinos and their family.
