JUDY ROMA TAYLOR
Date of Passing: Dec 17, 2006
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJUDY ROMA TAYLOR With her three beloved children by her side, on Sunday December 17, 2006. Judy left this mortal realm. Mum always looked back after going through a door and waved. She is waving now. Waving back are her children, Sally Prystanski, Geoff (Nancy) and Vern; her grandchildren Peter (Dulcie), Chris, Cheryl Prystanski, Kim (Bryan) McNeil, Stefani, Joel, Graham and Russell and great-grandchildren, Kayla, Andrew, Ryan (mother Amelia), and Dylan. She was predeceased by her father Percival; her mother Caroline; sister Joan and daughter-in-law, Susan Taylor. Judy was born in 1922 in England. Mum was a rising tennis star before the war, trained as a nurse, and worked for the British Admiralty before immigrating to Canada in 1953 with her young family. Mum carried her mother's nursing skills and father's caring attitude to Africa and back. Mum spent years working at Sears in Winnipeg and Kamloops before retiring to Winnipeg to be with family. Mum's quick wit and one liners brought many a smile to all people she met, including her friends at Lion's Manor. The family would like to thank all who have been involved in Mum's care and to particularly express gratitude to Dr. Elizabeth Giesbrecht, Frieda and the staff at Tuxedo Family Medical for their many years of kind and thoughtful care of Judy. In lieu of a service or flowers we would ask you to be charitable to someone in need. We will miss you, Mum. Thomson Funeral Home 669 Broadway 783 - 7211
