SAYLER ISABEL FUNK Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep. If I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take. Sayler was called to the Lord on December 19, 2006 at the early age of 6 years to be one of His special angels. Sayler was born on September 10, 2000. She is survived by her loving parents, Lorna Lewis (nee McAulay) and Benjamin Funk, her older siblings Mitchell Lewis, Amanda Rae Lewis, and her new kitten Sandy whom she loved. Also her surviving grandparents Wendy and Don Toews and her great-grandmother Isabel Praznik. She is also survived by many special aunties, uncles and cousins and many friends. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Eileen McAulay and Edwin McAulay. Sayler's personality attracted the attention of both young and old and she easily stole their hearts with her tender spirit, kindness and comedy. Flowers are greatly declined. Sayler's family would like to set up a dance scholarship fund in her name to help aspiring talent that struggle with the cost of instruction or competition. Donations can be made to any TD Bank in care of Wendy Toews. Please join us is celebration of Sayler's short life at the Christ Church Anglican, 227 McLen Avenue, Selkirk, at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 22, 2006. A private burial will follow at Cloverdale Church Cemetery for family. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
