JACOB WIENS KROEKER Jacob Wiens Kroeker, born December 9, 1922 passed away peacefully at the age of 84 on Friday, January 12, 2007. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Kay (Esau) of 59 years; five sons: Edwin (Flo), Richard (Arna), Vern (Marguerite), Garth (Donna), Glen (Heather) and 14 grandchildren. Jake grew up in the Elm Creek area where he later farmed. He was Pastor at the Elm Creek M.B. Church for nine years and spent time working in the northern communities of Leaf Rapids, Snow Lake and Simon House. Jake also served on M.B. Conference Boards and the Board of the Elm Creek Co-op. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 16 at 2:00 p.m. at the Elm Creek M.B. Church with interment to follow in the Elm Creek Cemetery. Viewing will be on Monday, January 15 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main St., Winnipeg and at the church prior to the service. FRIENDS FUNERAL SERVICE - Ph. 339-5555
