JAIME LEIGH HARGRAVE Peacefully, with her family at her bedside, Jaime Leigh went with the angels to see her Jesus on January 18, 2007. Jaime's final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Jaime touched in her short, yet very memorable life. Those who were touched by Jaime understood the preciousness of time. Her winning smile could melt the hearts of all those around her and though she never spoke a word, her thoughts were clear that she knew how to enjoy life. Although Jaime's life made her appear frail at times, she possessed a strength, perseverance and an ability to overcome incredible odds and physical challenges. With her courage she led us to believe that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories. She loved her Disney movies with a passion, reading books and mall shopping. She had a wicked sense of humour and an infectious laugh that we will miss so dearly. Although we will miss Jaime everyday and in a million different ways, especially her smile, she will forever be in our hearts. It has been a privilege to be Jaime's parents. We are so thankful that Jaime and her sister Kelly were such devoted sisters to one another. Jaime leaves behind many wonderful caregivers that provided love and support that enhanced her quality of life. Rose, Wendy, Chris and Vi, and all the other nurses through the years were like second mothers and she loved them all dearly. The family wishes to thank Dr. Besant, Dr. Booth, Dr. Pastorkamp, Dr. Friesen and Dr. Giannouli for accepting the challenge that Jaime was and giving over and above to make her life flourish for so many years. We also want to thank Dr. Harlos, Dr. Gingerich, Dr. Crawford, Simone and Anne and all the Palliative Care team for making the last months so special. Jaime is survived by her loving parents, Dave and Louise Hargrave of Winnipeg; sister Kelly Christine and fiancé Tamer Salem; paternal grandmother Edythe of Winnipeg, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and a whole host of friends. Jaime was predeceased by her paternal grandfather Cullen Hargrave, Nanny and Grandpa King and maternal grandmother Anne. Viewing will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 21, 2007 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 22, 2007 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Koleba officiating. A private family interment will be held in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the SMD Foundation Assistive Technology Fund or the Children's Wish Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. 982-7550
