Date of Passing: Jan 16, 2007
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOUGLAS WINSTON LOVE It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Douglas Winston Love on Tuesday, January 16, 2007. Douglas was predeceased by his parents, Elphie and Tony Love, and his dog Amber. He is survived by his wife Roberta, of 42 years; daughter Riva (Uwe) Lieflander, grandchildren, Andrew and Alexander; son Christopher (Kim) Love, grandchildren, Ryan and twins Brandon and Samantha; daughter Deborah (Jose) Peralta, grandchildren, Tito and Javier; sister Jane (Bruce) Campbell; step-brothers, Norman (Pat) and John Konefall; many dear aunts and cousins, and Brit, his beloved dog. Douglas was a man who dedicated himself thoroughly to every task he undertook. He was a true scientist, excellent chemist and Director of Quality Systems at R. W. Packaging. He took great satisfaction in doing the job right. His love of the outdoors led him to landscape his yard with 200 trees and create a forest in his backyard as well as a large orchard of a variety of apples, pears, cherries, high bush cranberries, plums and wild chokecherries of which he made a very excellent wine. He was an avid conservationist and never shot or caught anything he couldn't use for clothing or food. Douglas was a graduate of the University of Winnipeg and after graduation continued to expand his broad knowledge of the world. He could keep you enthralled with his stories for hours on end and was truly loved by his many friends and acquaintances. His family and friends knew he had an extremely generous heart. A memorial service will be held in May with the date to be announced. While I could, I did. Until we hunt again. BARDAL FUNERAL HOME 843 Sherbrook Street, 774-7474 Condolences: www.bardal.ca
