Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES F. DOUGLAS September 26, 1930 - February 7, 2007 It is with deep sadness the family announces the sudden passing of our Father, Grandfather and Brother. Dad was predeceased by his Father (William), Mother (Florence) and Brother (Don). He is survived by his loving children, Darcy and Jeff (Cristine), Brother William (Lorraine), Grandchildren, Mercedes, Justin, Jesse, and Kayla, Nieces, Janis (George) Goodburn, Gayle Douglas, Maureen Forster and Nephew Patrick and their families. Dad worked for many years at CNR (Symington) and was a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion, most recently the Prince Edward Branch. Dad enjoyed his pickerel fishing at Rainy River and Big Whiteshell. Dad also enjoyed buying old boats, motors, cars and fixing them up and re-selling them, sometimes even making a profit!! Dad was a little rough on the outside but all who knew him well, knew what a caring and giving man he really was and that he would help out a friend at a moments notice. Dad especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, whether it was at Ruckers when they were younger or changing the oil in their cars as teenagers, any excuse to spend time with them was fine with him. Dad also enjoyed spending time with Darcy and Jeff's, dogs, cats and horses, especially since he didn't have to clean up after them! Dad will be greatly missed by all those whose lives he touched over the years, especially his children and grandchildren.....We love you and will miss you greatly. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2007 at Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Avenue West. In lieu of Flowers, a donation in Dad's name may be made to the Heart Stroke Foundation, Winnipeg Humane Society or to a charity of one's choice. WHEELER FUNERAL CHAPEL in care of arrangements. 211 Regent Ave. West, 224-1525
