Date of Passing: Feb 10, 2007
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMILDRED GRUNSTEN November 1, 1925 February 10, 2007 Wife, mother, mother-in-law, grama passed away at Victoria General Hospital after a battle with diabetes and cancer. She leaves to cherish her memory, Art, husband of 62 years; daughter Kristi; son-in-law Bob, and her pride and joy, granddaughter Mekiah. Other than her family, Mom had two passions. She loved to work in the flower garden both at home and at Kristi's. She would work for hours on end without taking a break, getting lost in the joy of cleaning the areas, moving things around and adding things. A true gardener! Her other passion was traveling the world, first with Dad, then her family on many, many trips each year. The family would like to thank Dr. H. Neufeld who cared for Mom for the past 26 years as her general practitioner. Also, appreciation is extended to Dr. Yaffi (Hendreika) and Dr. Daeninck at St. Boniface Hospital. Since November the doctors, nurses, and other hospital staff at Victoria Hospital (ER wards 3S and 4S) took excellent care of Mom. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 15 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 1531 Pembina Hwy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mildred's memory to Victoria Hospital Foundation, Emergency Department, re: Development.
