LEONARD GEORG KARL NIEMAR It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear father and brother Len on February 20, 2007 at the St. Boniface Hospital with his three daughters at his side. Len is survived by daughters, Shanna, Allison and Carolyn Niemar of Edmonton; brother Allan Niemar and sisters, Ellie (Calvin Paul) and Hedy (Keith Witzky) and numerous nieces and nephews. Len was predeceased by his father Charles, mother Hedy and nephew Gavin Paul. Len was born on December 31, 1946 in Oldenburg, Germany. He came to Canada with his parents in 1948 and settled in Winnipeg. Len grew up in Elmwood and graduated with a B. Comm. Honors Degree from the U of M. He worked at Building Products of Canada for 35 years. During his career, he lived in Montreal and Edmonton. He had many hobbies, his favourite was model trains. Len spent the last four years in Winnipeg with his brother and sisters and loved spending time at Belair with his Bro . Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held. Flowers gratefully declined, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
