LOIS BERNICE FOSTER (nee PHOENIX) It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Lois Bernice Foster (nee Phoenix), who died peacefully on Friday, March 2, 2007, at the Melita Personal Care Home, Melita, MB. She was 86 years of age. Lois was born in Elva, MB, on May 17, 1920. Never straying far from home, Lois will forever be remembered as a strong, tireless wonder that bestowed her gracious heart and talented hands to so many people through church and community events. Lois will especially be remembered on beautiful days as she putters in her garden that is now the Heavens above. She was predeceased by her husband Jack; sister Fern; and brother Merlin. Lois will be forever remembered by her nieces and nephews as well as friends and relatives in the Melita area. A service to celebrate Lois' life will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. from the Victoria United Church, Melita. Interment to follow at the Melita cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lois may be made to the Melita Personal Care Home Palliative Care Fund, Box 459 Melita, MB R0M 1L0, or to the Melita Area Handi-Van, Box 613, Melita, MB ROM 1L0.
