EARL ALEXANDER IRVINE Peacefully, at the Selkirk General Hospital on Friday, March 2, 2007, Earl passed away at the age of 74 years. Earl was predeceased by his wife Jean; daughter Donna; father Walter; mother Matilda; brothers, Ernie and Orville; sister Eileen; and granddaughter Lana. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Deidre, Ferne (Ron), Kelly (Gail), Ray, Candace, Stephanie, Melissa and Daphne; 23 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews with special mention of his brother-in-law Bob (Bonnie) Flett. Earl was born in Selkirk, MB, on September 17, 1932, and resided in Grand Marais, MB, until 1954 when his family relocated to Manitou, MB, then to La Riviere, MB, in 1957. Earl supported his family while working for Pool Elevators, Kleysen Transport, then in later years became a commercial fisherman on Lake Winnipeg until his retirement in 1992. Earl and his wife Jean returned to Grand Marais, MB, in 1983 and enjoyed his retirement there until his passing. A celebration of Earl's life will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, 309 Eveline St., Selkirk, MB. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will take place at a later date. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Selkirk General Hospital for the care and attention provided to our dad in his time of need with a special thank you to Val Owen.
