JUDY LYNNE LOFTO It is with deep sadness that we announce on March 7, 2007, after a courageous battle with cancer, Judy Lynne Lofto passed away at the Riverview Health Centre with her family at her side. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 45 years, Jerry; her children, Ron (Linda), Jeff (Sue) and Debbie (Peter) Ash; grandchildren, Ashley, Jaimie, Megan and Brady; and her sister Brenda (Abe) Peters. She also leaves behind numerous extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her father Bob Porter in 2000 and mother Pearl Kennedy 2002. Mom was born in 1944 in Elm Creek, Manitoba. She grew up on the family farm and attended school in Elm Creek. In 1962, she married the love of her life, Jerry, and they resided in the Fannystelle/Elm Creek area for about a year. They then moved to Fort Garry where they raised their three children. Mom devoted her life to her family. She loved being at the lake and always looked forward to spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was an avid golfer and gardener and was fortunate to spend many enjoyable times traveling throughout Canada, the U.S. and Europe after she retired. Thank you, Mom, for your love, devotion and all the memories we share. We will miss you so much. We love you. The family wishes to thank the Palliative Care staff at Riverview Health Centre for their wonderful care. Many thanks to friends and family for all of their love and support. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 13 at 11:00 a.m. at Thomson In the Park, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
