BARBARA ANN LEWIS (nee WOOD) Peacefully, on March 14, 2007, at the Gimli Community Health Centre, Barbara passed away at the age of 71 years. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 53 years, Peter, who she joins in true love after only three months of his passing. Barbara is survived by her sister Vicky (Allan) Alman and family; daughter Diana (Glenn) Large and children, Jonathon (Sadie), Jennifer (Anthony), Catherine and Shantall; daughter Deborah (Paul) Baumung and children, David, Amanda (Sean) and Leanne; son Fred (Hiroko) Lewis and children, Rick and Edward; and four great-granddaughters, Jenna, Erin, Amaya and Ashlyn. Barb's love of music and wonderful gift of artistry contributed to her many talents in her life. Her paintings of landscape, people and animals will live on. Many thanks to the caring staff at the Gimli Community Health Centre; also special thanks to the staff at the Betel Home Foundation for their excellent care during her brief stay at the facility. Donations in Barbara's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba. Cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
