WILHELMINE MARIA RIEDEL (nee THUR) It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother Wilma, on Thursday, March 15, 2007, at the age of 81 years. Born in Vienna, Austria, Wilma and her husband Siegfried immigrated to Winnipeg in 1955. Remaining to forever cherish Wilma's memory is her daughter Esther (Robert) and grandsons, Karl and Paul. Also left to mourn her passing is her sister Helen; nieces, Elizabeth (Hubert) and Eva (Johann) and nephew Alexander (Takako), all of Vienna. Devoted to her family all her life, she now joins in eternal happiness the love of her life, Siegfried, who passed away in 1980. In accordance with Wilma's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private service will be held at a later date. The family would like to especially thank Dr. P. Sawchuck, Dr. A. Leylek, Dr. R. Wong and all those from the homecare and palliative care programs who helped care for Wilma. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Wilma's memory to either the Canadian Cancer Society or the St. Boniface Hospital and Research Foundation, Room D1003 409 Taché Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6.
