Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJACK SCHROEDER It is with great sadness that after a brief illness, Jack Schroeder passed away. Jack died peacefully with his family at his side on March 27, 2007, at the Victoria Hospital at the age of 64 years. Jack was born in Winnipeg to Ed and Lena Schroeder on August 16, 1942. Jack was predeceased by his father Ed in 1994. Left to mourn his passing are his mother Lena; his beloved wife of 24 years Margaret; his children, Greg (Jenny), granddaughters, Kyra and Courtney; his daughter Patricia; his stepson Tim Laferriere and grandson Kaeden; his sister Adeline (John) Shultz, nephew Jesse, niece Sandra and his brother Alan (Linda) Schroeder. His grandchildren were his greatest pride and joy. He loved playing with them, teasing them and especially giving them treats. They in return loved their grandpa dearly. Jack was a member of BTJ Pipefitters local UA #254 for 40 years. Jack learned to weld with hands on experience from his uncle Hank. He loved his trade, and went on to welding jobs across Canada from Ontario to British Columbia. He made many lifelong friends along the way. Jack retired in 1999. In accordance with Jack's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. A family gathering and interment is planned for a later date. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff on Unit 5 for their patience and understanding throughout. Our hearts are broken.
