EMILY PENSAK Peacefully, on Tuesday, April 3, 2007, at Concordia Hospital, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Emily Pensak, passed away. Emily was born in Ukraine and immigrated to Canada in 1927, homesteading in Shortdale, Manitoba. In 1932, she moved to Winnipeg, working at various jobs, eventually retiring from The Bay in 1984. Emily was a member of Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral. She enjoyed her summers at Camp Rusalka, traveling, cross-stitching and needlepoint. She also loved dancing, music and entertaining family and friends. Left to cherish Emily's memory are her daughters, Levett, twins Eleanor (Adam) and Dollie (Ron); nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Walter (Gail), Russ (Joan); numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Emily was predeceased by her husband Michael in 1999. Prayers will be sung 6:00 p.m. Monday, April 9 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 10 at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral, 115 McGregor St., with Rt. Rev. Msgr. Mitrat M. Buyachok officiating. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Family Nursing Home. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. T. Babick and the staff of St. May's Ward, Holy Family Nursing Home.
