Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES ORR LOW James Orr Low passed away on Friday, March 30, 2007, at Bevan Lodge, Abbotsford, BC, at the age of 87 years. He was born February 29, 1920, in Winnipeg, MB. James is survived by his children, Vickki (Bill) Ranson, Hazel (Ray) Jobbaay, Heather (Frank) Marchildon and Valerie (Ron) Parsons. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 61 years, Vera. Dad served during the Second World War with the Canadian 7th Infantry Division overseas as a dispatch rider. He was stationed in England and was deployed to Italy, France and Holland. Jim and Vera met during this time. Upon returning to Canada, they settled in Winnipeg where they were founding members of the Winnipeg Rockwood Army and Navy. They moved to Abbotsford and then retired to Duncan where they ran a charter fishing boat business. Dad and Mom did a lot of traveling, spending their later years in Chilliwack. Dad was a member of the Quesnel Golf Course as well as the Mount Brenton Golf Course and was commissioner of Boy Scouts for a number of years. One of his many hobbies was painting, and he became a teacher to share his love of painting with others. Dad is back in the arms of his beloved Vera, who passed away a mere three months ago on December 30, 2006. He missed her dearly and they are now together again. We would like to thank Dr. Carlson and the staff at Bevan Lodge. A special thanks to dear friends Rick and Monica. No service by request. We miss you Mom and Dad and love you both, your daughters.
