KWOK FAT LEE (KING) October 8, 1933 - April 10, 2007 With great love and appreciation, we are honoured to celebrate the life of King Lee. Peacefully, on April 10, 2007, King passed away at the Health Sciences Centre after a brief illness at the age of 73 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Soo Hang Lee; his two sons, Ben (Ruth) and Robert; three grandchildren, Michael, Christopher and Katrina. Born in China in 1933, King immigrated to Canada in 1951. In 1959 his wife Soo followed and they settled in Winnipeg. He was employed at the Shanghai Restaurant in Chinatown for over 40 years where he made many everlasting friendships. King was one of the original volunteers at the Folklorama's Chinese Pavilion. He was also actively involved in the community and performed charitable work through the Chinese Benevolent Association. Our father will be remembered for his love of family, devotion to Mom, love of life and long lasting friendships. Viewing will take place on Tuesday, April 17 between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m. at the Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Funeral services will also be held in the chapel on Wednesday, April 18, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. The Lee family would gratefully acknowledge the fine care by staff at Health Sciences Centre, CancerCare Manitoba, and St. Vital Nursing Unit.
