HOMER GREEN 1918 - 2007 Peacefully, on April 6, 2007 at Concordia Hospital, Homer Green passed away. Homer was predeceased by his spouse, Agnes Green (nee Kelly) and his siblings. He is survived by his daughter, Janet Schroeder (nee Green) and granddaughter, Nadine Schroeder. Homer was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba where he later met and married his spouse. He served the Army during the Second World War and was injured in combat. Homer went on to work for the Federal Government. Even in his eighty-eighth year, he could be found sharing beverages and stories with his co-workers of yesteryear. Homer loved to work. He spent many a day tinkering around the house and yard. He jumped at any opportunity to work hard and do it right the first time. Homer also loved to walk, stopping on his travels to talk to people and animals alike. Known affectionately as Grampa to friends and family in recent years, he will be sadly missed by all. A private service has taken place. Flowers gratefully declined. Those so obliged may make a charitable donation on his behalf to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
