JOSEPHINE GUANZON October 14, 1962 - April 14, 2007 Peacefully on Saturday, April 14, 2007, surrounded by the love and prayers of her loving family, Josephine passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer at Health Sciences Centre. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband Alberto; sons, Peter and Joshua; parents, Dioscoro and Concepcion Maranon; brothers and sisters, Arturo (Mayette), Dioscoro Jr. (Jennifer), Aura (Barry), Arnaldo (Jade), Richard (Melissa), Francis (Joy), Roberto, Stella (Greg), numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces. Josephine had a profound devotion to her family and friends and held a special place in the hearts of all that knew her. The world is a brighter place for having known this wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. Special thank you to Edwina Sellers and family, Crisostomo, Tabing, Soliven, Velez, Camana, Alibango, Davila, Espino, Hermano, Javellana and Ponce families for their support and kindness during her illness. Thank you also to all HRSDC-Labour, East View Travel and Engineered Apparel staff for their support. The family also wishes to thank all the attending doctors and staff at Health Sciences Centre during her stay. Lamay will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2007 and Friday, April 20, 2007, 6:00 p.m. - 12:00 midnight at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, a trust fund has been set up for Josephine's two sons, and donations to CancerCare Manitoba would be greatly appreciated. I woke up thinking about Josie - such a good friend and inspiration. Died April 14, 2007. Didn't know her for many years, but felt like a long time friend. Not sure if you Peter, will see this, but she is still in every bodies heart. Josie would be so happy for you to find happiness as well.
