RHEA ANN CHORNENKI (nee ROBILLARD) May 28, 1913 - May 23, 2007 On May 23, 2007, Rhea peacefully passed away at her residence, Meadowood Manor Personal Care Home. Left to mourn are her daughters and sons-in-law, Arlene and Keith Jeal (Regina); and Rhea and Dave Jenkinson (Winnipeg); and grandchildren, Lorne Jeal (Barb), Susanna McGrath (Sean), Michael Jenkinson (Charlene), Dean Jenkinson (Nicole), Mark Jenkinson (Michal-Joan); and great-grandchildren, Nathan and Adon Moss, Bryan, Kieran and Chelsie Jeal, Nicole, Michelle and Audrey Jenkinson; as well as extended family members. Rhea was predeceased by her husband Michael in 1995; and all of her seven siblings. Born in Port Arthur, ON, Rhea spent most of her life in Winnipeg. She and Michael married in 1933 and began their life together in Weston and Brooklands. In 1952, they moved to Norwood where Rhea resided until 1999 at which time she moved into Meadowood Manor Assisted Living and then into Personal Care. Rhea has left a legacy of her creative talents in her cooking, sewing, knitting, crochet and other needle works which she enjoyed throughout her years. She will be remembered by her family and the Meadowood family for her pluck, humour and love of bursting into song. Rhea's great joys were her Michael and the summers she and Michael spent at their cabin at Grand Beach which was a spur of the moment purchase in 1949. A memorial service will be planned for mid-June at Meadowood Manor. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Meadowood Manor Foundation, 577 St. Anne's Rd., Winnipeg, MB R2M 5B2.
