ELENI DOVAS (LOUIZOS) It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Eleni Dovas on Friday June 1, 2007. Eleni passed away at home surrounded by her loving family. Eleni was born in Eressos on the Greek island of Lesvos on January 13, 1928. She was a devoted mother to her children, Stella (Tony), Adonis; her grandchildren, Nicky (Jeff), Helen, Chris, and great-grandchild Andreas. Eleni will be greatly missed by friends and family in Canada and Greece. We would like to express our gratitude to all our family and friends that offered their prayers and support during Eleni's illness. All are welcome to attend the funeral service on Thursday June 7, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 2255 Grant Ave. Interment to follow at Waverley Memorial Gardens, 1501 Waverley St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eleni's memory to the Hellenic Cultural Center, 2255 Grant Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3P 0S2, Phone 889-8723.
