WILLIAM J. HANCOCK It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of our dearly loved husband, father and grandfather, on June 13, 2007 at the age of 80. Bill was born August 31, 1926. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 56 years, Irene; his son Darrell (Joyce); his grandchildren, Calvin and Alexandra, and family in England to whom he was close in his heart but separated from by distance. Bill's father died when Bill was very young. This necessitated Bill leaving school to go to work to help support his mother and family. From then on, and throughout his career with Marshall Wells, Walter Woods and Federal Express, Bill demonstrated a commitment to work and a work ethic that was a model to us all. Bill loved to golf and was so happy to be up with the birds every Saturday, when his health permitted, to play a round of golf. Bill took great joy and much pride in the accomplishments of his son and his grandchildren. Bill lived his life on his own terms and left life the same way. A private family service and celebration of Bill's life will take place.
