GLORIA SPRINGER 1918 - 2007 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Gloria Springer on June 16, 2007, at the Health Sciences Centre, after a brief illness. Gloria is survived by her daughter Elaine Primeau (Don Kowalski); son Randy of Toronto; grandchildren, Jay (fiancée Michelle), Tara (Clay Hall) of Nelson, BC, Natalie (fiancé Steve) of Whitby, ON, and many nieces and nephews. Her husband of 68 years, Bill; son Wayne, and 11 brothers and sisters predeceased her. Gloria was a very kind, generous and loving person who welcomed everyone into her home. She had a great sense of humour and was devoted to her family. She had many operations but managed to overcome the odds and bounce back with a smile on her face. Special thanks to the staff of Fred Douglas Lodge, especially those on Spruce Unit, whose care, concern and laughter made mom's stay pleasant. Cry not for me, my heart is light My soul is free for all eternity My pain is gone, so cry not for me I've loved you each and every one I love you still. Service at Fred Douglas Lodge, 1275 Burrows Ave. on Thursday, June 28 at 2:00 p.m. A private family interment will take place. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gloria's memory may be made to C.N.I.B.
