SHEILA ERIN MCLACHLIN March 27, 1982 - May 1, 2007 On May 1, 2007, at Montreal General Hospital, our beloved daughter, Sheila Erin, died at the age of 25 years, having succumbed to her long-term illness, anorexia nervosa. Sheila was a Ph.D. student in the Department of Physics at McGill University. As part of her studies in experimental particle physics, she also spent one year in California at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center. On May 14, 2007, the Physics Department held a memorial ceremony and the McGill University flag was lowered to half-mast. Born in Toronto on March 27, 1982 to Laurie McLachlin (nee Calimente) and Ron McLachlin, Sheila is survived by her parents and her younger sister Kate, all of Winnipeg. She is also survived by her paternal grandparents, Herb and Aletha McLachlin of Edmonton, and by many aunts, uncles and cousins throughout Western Canada. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Steve and Marion Calimente of Woodrow, Saskatchewan. Sheila is deeply missed by her family and by her many friends and colleagues. Funeral arrangements were handled by Alfred Dallaire Groupe Yves Legare, Laval. There will be a private family memorial service and interment at Thomson In The Park Cemetery in Winnipeg.
