VOLDEMAR LUHT 1924 2007 With sadness, the family of Voldemar (Volly) Luht announces his passing on June 28, 2007. Volly will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Elsa; his son Arne (wife Jodi) and grandchildren, Erik and Ian. He is survived by two sisters, Silvi and Leida (and families), both in Estonia. Volly was born on December 28, 1924 in Voru, Estonia. After the Second World War, Volly immigrated to England where he met and married Elsa in 1951. Together, they soon immigrated to Canada, settling in Toronto in 1954. Volly had a long career as a foreman at Dominion Cutout Ltd., retiring in 1989. In 2002 Volly and Elsa moved to Winnipeg to be closer to their son and beloved grandchildren. His true strength shone through as he battled his illness over the last few years, as he was always patient and never complained. His grandchildren were a source of joy, always bringing out a smile. He will be truly missed and his memory cherished forever. Cremation has already taken place and a private memorial service will be held.
