SIGRUN G. JOHNSON Sigrun Gudbjorg Johnson, born December 12, 1914, in Glenboro, Manitoba, died April 21, 2007, in Gimli, Manitoba. She was predeceased by a sister Hermina in December 2003; and a brother Benedict in March 1997; also by her parents, father Gudmunder S. Johnson in June 1970 and mother Gudny in July 1933; survived by a sister Gladys Lenchuk and sister-in-law Jona Johnson plus numerous nieces and nephews. Sigga lived most of her life in Glenboro but did live in Ottawa for a few years with her sister Hermina. She was a quiet person, helping to keep house for her father. She enjoyed reading, walking and shopping. Her nieces and nephews remember her as the Pink Auntie because that was her colour. Sigga resided at the Glenboro Personal Care Home before moving to Gimli Betel to be closer to family. The family wishes to thank the Glenboro PCH and the Betel Home in Gimli for all the care and compassion shown to Sigga over these last years. There will be a small graveside gathering on Monday, July 16, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at the Glenboro Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
