VIKTOR and ANDREAN HERGERT With broken hearts and profound sorrow we say goodbye to a loving father and an amazing son who died tragically, together in Lockport, Manitoba. Viktor Hergert, age 41, was born on February 26, 1966. He was an amazing and devoted father who dedicated everyday of his life to his family. He loved to take his family fishing. He had a strong faith in the Lord and truly believed in family values. Viktor will be missed by his wife Nadeschda; five children, eight siblings, his parents, nieces and nephews, church members and all friends. Adrian, who had just celebrated his ninth birthday, was born on July 9, 1998. He was a son every parent would love to have. A loving and caring boy who loved to go fishing with his dad. Adrian will be greatly missed by his mom, his five siblings, aunts and uncles, cousins, grandparents, schoolmates, and all friends. We would like to thank the R.C.M.P. and everybody who helped in the search. Thank you to the neighbourhood for all your help, the community of Oakbank, and all donations that have been made to the family. Special thank you to the gentleman who risked his own life in an attempt to save Viktor and Adrian. Words cannot express our appreciation to Michael Vogiatzakis at Voyage Funeral Home and Abe Peters at Mennonite Memorial Gardens for what they have done for our family. Thank you. Funeral services to honour both Viktor and Adrian will be held on Wednesday, July 25 at 11:00 a.m. at the Oakbank Baptist Church, 26033 Springfield Rd., Oakbank. Interments will follow at Mennonite Memorial Gardens, 884 Symington Rd. We love you and we miss you both so much. It brings us peace in our hearts to know that you are in the arms of the Lord, together.
