NANCY TAYLOR (nee DUKENICH) We are saddened to announce that Nancy Taylor passed away at Victoria General Hospital in Winnipeg on Monday, July 23, 2007, at the age of 82 years. Nancy was predeceased by her husband Art and by her brothers Emil and Sam, sisters Anne, Lena, Teenie, and Joan. She leaves to mourn her passing her sister Marion, many nieces, nephews, and friends. Nancy was born on July 1, 1925, in Alonsa, Manitoba. As a teen she moved to Toronto where she lived for most of her life before moving back to Winnipeg 10 years ago to be close to family. Nancy loved life. She was positive and upbeat and an inspiration to us all even with the threat of aneurysm hanging over her. She loved to play bridge with her friends at Lindenholm Place and scrabble with her family. She enjoyed good food, was a great cook and kept us all in goodies and soup. She loved a trip to the casino and was incredibly lucky. She enjoyed a drink of good scotch and a glass of Mumms Extra Dry from time to time. At Nancy's request cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice. A gathering to celebrate Nancy's life and share stories will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., on Tuesday, July 31 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the fall in Creemore, Ontario.
