Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTOM YAMAMOTO It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Yutaka Tom Yamamoto on July 30, 2007. Much loved husband, father, uncle and brother, Tom is survived by Kiyomi, his wife of 51 years; son Kevin; daughter Carole; brother Masahiro (Donna); sisters, Mitsuko (Takeshi) Takada, Setsuko (Hidewo) Yoshida and many other relatives. Tom was born July 22, 1927, in Steveston, BC. Predeceased by his parents, Sosuke and Toku; brothers, Yasuo and Kazuo; and sister Hatsuo Hamade. He was a devoted family man who also enjoyed animals. Dad was a tireless business man who upon retirement transferred his many talents to assisting the Steveston Buddhist Temple as an executive, bingo-worker and cook. He was a faithful Dodgers fan (Brooklyn and LA), and a football fan (Blue Bombers and Vikings). We will miss his sense of humour, his hearty laugh and his thirst for knowledge in all things technical, especially cars. We wish to thank the doctors, nurses and all the staff at Richmond General Hospital for their care and attention this past year. In lieu of flowers or Koden, donations may be made to the Steveston Buddhist Temple or a charity of your choice. A wake will be held on Sunday, August 5, 7:00 p.m., at the Steveston Buddhist Temple, 4360 Garry St., Richmond, BC. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 10:30 a.m., at the Steveston Buddhist Temple. Cremation will follow at the Arbor Cremation Centre, 14660-72nd Ave., Surrey, BC.
