Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPEDRO ARAUJO FERREIRA June 29, 1936 - August 1, 2007 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving and beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother on August 1, 2007. His memory will be forever cherished by his wife Noemia; his children, Jose (Alice), Josie (Fernando), and Margaret (Mario); and his grandchildren, Anthony, Jonathan, Jordyn, Braedyn, Keane, Chyanne; his brother Augusto (Rosinha); along with other family members here and in Portugal. Pedro was born in Portugal and immigrated to Canada with his wife and family in 1971. Along with Noemia they provided a loving home for their children and later on for his grandchildren. Pedro was a quiet and reserved man who nevertheless was always prepared to lend a helping hand, and many of his friends and family will cherish the numerous projects that he built. He enjoyed the simplicity of life and was happiest in the company of his wife on their regular fishing trips or sitting under his grape vines in the backyard with family and friends. He was master craftsman not only in his trade but in the lives of those he touched. The family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff on H4 at Health Sciences Centre for the care and compassion they showed to him and all those who visited during his stay. A special thank you to Cathy and Susan whose smile and loving hands provided comfort to dad and the family during his stay and his last hours. Prayers will be said on Friday, August 3 at 5:30 p.m. and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 4 at 1:00 p.m. with Very Rev. José Eduardo Medeiros as Celebrant. Both services will be at Immaculate Conception Parish followed by entombment at Queen of Heaven Mausoleum, Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Pedro's memory may be made to Lung Association of Manitoba. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
