ROBERT GUENTHER 1936 - 2007 Robert went home to be with the Lord on July 31, 2007 at the age of 71. He leaves to cherish his memory, beloved children Rolf and Carmen, son-in law Dale, grandchildren, Dana and Cassandra, sister Toby; brother-in-law Otto, brother Ben, sister-in-law Elizabeth as well as cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. Robert was born in Matschuzki, Poland on May 13, 1936. He moved to Germany with his family some time after. Robert then moved to Canada in 1957. He married Hildegard Mueller on December 6, 1958 in Winnipeg. They started a family and opened Becker's Restaurant on Main St. Afterwards he worked as a furrier for many years and developed a reputation of being one of the best in Winnipeg. He then retired in 1986. Robert had a special relationship with both his sister and brother and will be greatly missed. His greatest joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was known for his loving and generous nature. Always wanting to help others. He had a strong love for Jesus Christ. A memorial service will be held on August 8, 2:00 p.m. at Abundant Life Baptist Church, 1396 Plessis Road by Pastor Mark DeKluver.
