Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELSIE EVERTON (nee FOOT) July 5, 1922 August 21, 2007 On August 21, 2007 at the Concordia Hospital, Elsie passed away peacefully with her daughter and granddaughter at her side. Elsie was predeceased by her brothers, Jim and Ed Foot, sister Lil Hepworth, and our grandfather Cecil Everton. Elsie is survived by her sister Betty (Keith) Bennett of British Columbia, sister Dorothy (Bill) Kozub of British Columbia, brother Jack (Jeanette) Foot, and sister-in-law Rita Foot. She is also survived by her daughter Cheryl Versluis, son Larry Everton, grandchildren, Duane (Deb), Brad (Twylla) and Sherrie Versluis and great-grandchildren, Riley, Rebecca, Jenna, Alexander and Noah, and many nieces and nephews. Elsie lived her entire life in Transcona and worked for Arthur Day School as the Canteen lady for many years. She enjoyed reading Alfred Hitchcock books, watching Matlock reruns, and playing the slots at local casinos and went to Las Vegas many times. Elsie spent the last two and one half years at the Park Manor Home where she battled Alzheimers and Dementia. These diseases may have stolen her memories but our memories of her will live on in all of us. May you rest in peace Granny. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Memorial service will be held on Friday, August 24, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day Street with Pastor Gerhard Friesen officiating.
