ALEXANDER (ALEX) SOSNOWSKI March 3, 1928 August 21, 2007 The family wishes to announce the passing of their brother, Alex, on August 21, 2007. Alex was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Annie (nee Katchur) Sosnowski, and two brothers. Alex is survived by his brother Lawrence (Phyllis), and two sisters, Mae (Jack) Sigvaldason and Olga (Gerard) Laramee. There are also four nephews and nieces and their families. Alex farmed in the Winnipegosis area for most of his lifetime. Throughout his life, Alex had many hobbies. He enjoyed music and possessed great talent as he taught himself to play the accordion and violin. He was also skilled in repairing old clocks. Every member of his family has at least one of his refurbished clocks. Alex also made many family home videos, and these comprise some of the many memories we will always cherish. In his younger years, Alex bought his sister a new bike when she was 10 years of age. That bike was so precious to her and from that moment on they were the best of friends. Alex was great with his nieces and nephews, and later on, with their children. They always looked forward to his visits to Winnipeg every summer. We shall all miss him dearly. Rest in peace, dear Alex. Funeral service will take place on Friday, August 24, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. from the Sneath-Strilchuk Funeral Chapel in Dauphin with Father Oleg Bodnarski officiating. Interment will follow in the Winnipegosis District Cemetery. As per Alex's wishes, the service will conclude at the graveside in Winnipegosis. We wish to thank the doctors and staff of the Winnipegosis Health Centre and the Dauphin Regional Health Centre for the care they provided for Alex. A special thanks also to Steve Fortney for looking after Alex and to the Clarkson family for their support. Sneath-Strilchuk Funeral Services Dauphin, Manitoba (204) 638-4110
