Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNE VIRGINIA STARR (nee Sontag) December 7, 1931 - August 17, 2007 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Anne: wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Anne leaves to mourn and cherish her memory, her devoted husband, Frank; children, Bob (Wanda), David (Pete) and Ken (Jacqui); grandchildren, Jasmine, Karen, Nikolas and Sam; great-granddaughter, Maria, and her large and loving Sontag family. Special mention must go to sister-in-law, Kay Sontag who was a mentor and mother to Anne from the time Anne was a little girl. Anne was born in Cook's Creek, Manitoba. She was a wonderful homemaker who loved to cook for her family and friends. She was thoughtful and generous to all and especially tender with animals. She loved her cottage at Catastrophe Lake near Minaki, Ontario. She was passionate about her hobbies, cooking, sewing and her many crafts. Frank and Anne also had a home in Sebring, Florida where they spent the winter enjoying golf and gardening and visits from family and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Darren Reimer and the staff at Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach for the kindness and compassion they showed to Anne. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 27, 2007 at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. No. 1 E. at Navin Road. In lieu of flowers, should friends so wish, donations in Anne's memory may be made to Bethesda Hospital, 316 Henry Street, Steinbach, MB.
