FRANZISKA ELIZABETH GANSSER (nee MAREK) On Monday, September 24, 2007, Franziska Elizabeth Gansser, beloved wife of the late Walter Gansser, died at Misericordia Place at the age of 77 years. Remaining to forever cherish Franziska's memory are her daughters, Sabina Kasian and Nancy Fetterly; sons-in-law, James Kasian and Bruce Fetterly; sister Anni Schebella; brother Franz Marek; sister-in-law Hilde Marek; as well as numerous nieces and nephews all in Germany. She was predeceased by her husband Walter, in 1995; sisters, Pauline, Marie and Helene; brothers-in-law, Guido and Kurt; as well as her parents. Franziska was born on November 25, 1929 in Eisgrub, Czechoslovakia to Franz and Marie (nee Stanzl) Marek. She immigrated to Canada in 1954 to join her fiancé, Walter. On Wednesday, October 17, Franziska's funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Misericordia Place, 44 Furby Street with Rev. Fr. Vince Herner, presider. Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to all the staff at Misericordia Health Centre, Cornish 2 and at Misericordia Place, MP3, Robin Way for their compassionate care of our mother.
