BESSIE STERN 1913 - 2007 Peacefully on Thursday, October 18, 2007, surrounded by her loving family, Bessie passed away. She is survived by her family Sandy and Marvin Polanski, their children Alden and Flannery, Kyle and Polly (Vancouver), Harvey and Anne Aronovich, their children Taylor and Tate (Calgary), her great-grandchildren Julian, Tyler and Leo. Bessie was predeceased by her first husband Al Aronovich (1970) and Walter J. Stern (1981), brothers Percy and Ike Packer, and sisters Rose Zeitlen and Fanny Sisskind. The funeral will be held Friday, October 19, 2007 graveside at 2:30 p.m. at the Hebrew Sick Cemetery, 2605 McPhillips Street. Shiva will be observed at 522 Laidlaw Blvd. The family wishes to thank the staff on the second floor of the Sharon Home North for their care. We would also like to extend thanks to Dr. N. Finlayson and the nursing staff on the 5th Floor, Unit# 6 of the Seven Oaks General Hospital for their extraordinary passionate care. Contributions in her memory can be made to the Sharon Home.
