DOROTHY DELLA MILLS Dorothy Della Mills (nee Roberts) passed away suddenly on October 23, 2007 supported by her family. Born October 25, 1918, Dorothy grew up in Osborne, Manitoba. She completed normal school, a home nursing certificate and worked as a bookkeeper. She married William Mills on September 15, 1951. After Bill's untimely death in 1969, Dorothy carried on with a quiet strength dedicated to her girls and extended family. A most interesting lady, she was a wonderful mother, friend, neighbour and caregiver. Dorothy loved music and reading, and was a long time devoted and active member of the Deer Lodge United Church, UCW, and Sturgeon Creek United Church. Fondly remembered and sadly missed by daughters Carol, Marion (Don Leckie) and grandchildren Kristine and Brent, sisters-in-law (Margaret, Marie, Myrtle, Olive and Vera), and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, October 29, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Sturgeon Creek United Church, 207 Thompson Drive. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Avonlea United Church, Box 659, La Salle, MB, R0G 1B0 or to Sturgeon Creek United Church, 207 Thompson Drive, Winnipeg, MB, R3J 3E2.
