ROBERT (BOB) KUSHNIR May 9, 1949 - October 24, 2007 It is with extreme sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Bob Kushnir. Bob was born on May 9, 1949 in Gimli, MB. He is survived by his soul mate Marilyn; son Danny (Cindy) and grandsons, Jon and Zak; sisters, Rose Marie Hess (Del); nephew Derek (Barb) and great-nephew Steven; Brenda Leger (Rick) and nephews, Dennis and Chris and niece Meagan. Mother-in-law Lilja Melsted; brother-in-laws David and Darryl and families. Bob was predeceased by his parents, Steve and Mary Kushnir and baby brother Nicholas. Bob's chosen career was in carpentry. He worked for many years in Winnipeg. In the early 80's he returned to Gimli to become self-employed in the same trade. In Bob's line of work he made many life long friends. Bob was a hard working dedicated man who took pride in every job he tackled. The twinkle in those blue eyes will be missed by many. Some on Bob's favourite passions were the Winnipeg Blue Bombers , Toronto Maple Leaf's and a good ol John Wayne movie. One of the most exciting moments of his life is when he became a grandpa to Jon and Zak. He treasured each and every day he had with them. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at 10:30 a.m., at the St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church in Gimli, MB. Interment to follow at a later date.
