CECIL SCOUSE August 29, 1933 - November 5, 2007 Cecil Scouse, age 74, passed away at Deer Lodge Centre on November 5, 2007. His mother Florence Elizabeth, his father Daniel, two brothers and sister Joan, predeceased him. Cecil has no known surviving relatives. Cecil was diagnosed with throat cancer in January 2007. He vigorously pursued all options and embarked on a courageous battle with the disease. However, during the last several months, his bodily health declined rapidly. He was born in Peace Haven England, and moved to Canada in December 1950. Cecil worked on a few farms in New Brunswick before joining The Royal Canadian Navy in June 1953. He finally Seen the Light and transferred to The Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) in 1958 as an Aircraft Technician. He worked many years on various aircraft across Canada and Europe, and on his return to Chatham, NB was nicknamed, The Voodoo Man for his longtime working on these aircraft, and flying 101 hours in the back seat of the Voodoo CF101 aircraft, hence the nickname. Special thanks to the staff at both Health Sciences Centre (H5) and finally 4th floor North of the Deer Lodge Centre for their special care for Cecil. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial service will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, St. James Branch #4 at a later date this month.
