KATHLEEN (KAY) KUZ It is with sadness that daughters Donchus , Gloria, Carol, Grace; granddaughters, Christina and Katherine; Bob and Andrew say goodbye to our Mom/Baba who began a new journey November 11, 2007. Born November 10th or 21st, 1916 at Erickson, MB to Metro and Magdolina Woloshen, Mom was the seventh and last surviving of nine children. Predeceased by sisters Lena and Anne Williams (Minnedosa); brothers Bill and Pete (Neepawa); Nick and Mickey (Winnipeg); Tony and Johnny (Petawawa). Also surviving are inlaws Claire Woloshen; Nick and Pat Kuz, Tony and Anne Kuz, Helen Kuz of Kamloops and Kay Kuz of Gimli. Kathleen married Mike Kuz on July 22, 1939. Together they farmed the homestead at Fraserwood. Mom was widowed April 6, 1957. Relocating her family to Winnipeg, Mom had various jobs, ending a 22 year career May 14, 1981 as a proud employee of the Canadian Wheat Board. Mom loved her children, grandchildren, godchildren, family and friends unconditionally. She also loved everything about nature. To honour her memory, recycle; plant a tree; grow perennials; feed the birds; adopt a stray cat; bake bread and cinnamon buns; pick cran-berries and make kalyna; respect your neighbours; remember special occasions; keep in touch; donate to your favourite charity. Flowers gratefully declined. Mom's wishes were no service after cremation. Her ashes will be buried with Dad at Fraserwood Cemetery in Spring 2008.
