JOYCE VIVIAN ROSE Peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, Joyce passed away at home on November 16, 2007 at the age of 83. Joyce will be sadly missed by her daughter and friend Marlene, little feline friend Jazz, and a large extended family. She was predeceased by her husband Marcel and sister Ernett. Joyce was born and raised in Winnipeg. She married Marcel in 1942 and they farmed in the Sperling area until his passing in 1974. Joyce subsequently moved back to Winnipeg to reside in the area near where she grew up. She will be remembered for her gentle nature, her smile, and her love of animals. Joyce enjoyed all the animals that visited her yard on a daily basis. A memorial service will be held at a later date. A special thanks to Dr. Hildahl for his compassion, care, and support over the years, particularly during the past six months. In lieu of flowers, in keeping with Joyce's love of animals, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, or another animal shelter.
