MARLA DAWN MAINER It is with deep sorrow and regret that we announce the passing of our daughter, sister and friend, Marla Dawn Mainer. Left to mourn her passing are her mother, Millie Mainer, brothers K.J. and Trevor, and Sharmayne, Elena and Stephie. Marla was predeceased by her father, Ken Mainer on September 9, 2007. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba. Memorial service was held on Monday, November 12, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Masonic Temple, 302-8th Street, Brandon.

I met Marla in Tache Hall residence at the U of M. We lived on the 4th floor and I remember her huge waterbed in the small dorm room and tons of pillows on it. I also went to Brandon University, and we visited there as well. She loved to talk about her dog Jordana. I just found out about her passing because I think about her from time to time and this time I googled her name hoping to get re-acquainted through some social media outlet. I was very surprised to see she had passed and so sorry we had lost touch. I am sure she is helping others somewhere. She had the biggest heart! Rest easy my friend.
