RUSSELL GALAY On November 23, 2007 at the age of 69 years, passed away after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his two sisters, Nellie Fitkowski and families of Winnipeg and Roxy Wazny (Walter) and families of Lac du Bonnet and Winnipeg, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended families and friends. Russell was born and raised in Pine River, Manitoba. He worked in various mines throughout Manitoba, Ontario and North West Territories until his health deteriorated. He was predeceased by his parents Dmytro and Anne Galay, brothers (and wives) Michael, Orest (Frances), Walter (Teena), brother-in-law Michael Fitkowski, and niece Jacqueline (Wazny). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2007 at the Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Avenue West, Winnipeg at 7:30 p.m. Interment at a later date.
