Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPHYLLIS ROSELA MACGREGOR (nee BRIERLY) September 30, 1914 - December 10, 2007. Phyllis passed away peacefully with her family at her side on December 10, 2007. She was predeceased by her husband Hilton in 2003 and her only daughter Marilynn in 2006. Phyllis will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Kim, Debbie and Warren (Veronica), great-grandchildren Brianna, Melissa, Hillary, Kirstyn, Julia, her son-in-law Peter Skromeda, nieces, nephews and cherished friends. She was married in 1936 and celebrated over 65 years of marriage in St. Andrews , Mb where she lived all her life. They enjoyed travelling to California in winters, and summers were spent at the cottage in Kenora, fishing, boating, entertaining their friends, and evening card games with her grandchildren. We are thankful that her last week with us was a happy one. She attended a Christmas party, lunched at her favorite restaurant, Christmas shopped for her friends at Middlechurch Home, babysitting her youngest great-granddaughter, and a win at the casino. The weekend before her passing, was spent decorating the Christmas tree and baking for the holidays with her family. We cherished all those last wonderful moments spent with her. The family would like to thank the Middlechurch Home staff and residents for the kindness and loving care extended to her for the past two years. In lieu of flowers, donations in Phyllis's memory may be made to St. Andrews Church on the Red, 3 St. Andrews Road. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 14 (today) at 1:00 p.m. with viewing one hour prior to in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with Rev. Stephen Sharman officiating. Interment will follow at the St. Andrew's Cemetery. We look, but you are not there, We listen , but silence surrounds, We remember, and love fills our hearts, For you are with us always.
