WAYNE BENJAMIN FAWLEY 1942 - 2007 Peacefully, after a brief illness, it is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Wayne on Saturday, December 8, 2007 at St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg at the age of 65 years. Remaining to forever cherish Wayne's memory are his sons, David (Deborah) and Robert; granddaughters, Amanda and Jennifer, Sabrina, Kaila and Tiffany; siblings, Gail (Al), Barry and Garry (Mary); nieces (Susan, Laura, Colleen, Kathleen, Bridget, Rebecca and Madeline) and nephews (Craig, Murray, Bryan, Brian, David and Keenan); he also enjoyed the longtime friendship of Ross and Sharon Forrest, Len Armstrong, Archer Jackson, Jimmy Gates, Ed Coyle, his poker club, and many others. He was predeceased by his parents Norman and May Fawley. Wayne was born, raised and lived his entire life in Winnipeg. He was proudly employed at the Manitoba Telephone System from 1962 until his well-deserved retirement in 1995. Wayne was a founding member of the Saracens Rugby Club; member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and Rockwood ANAF Veterans Unit 303; and past member of the Shiners' (Khartum Tempe), Masons (Red River Lodge No. 172) and Telephone Pioneers. In compliance with Wayne's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. Special thank yous to those who made Wayne's final days comfortable: Dr. Kvern and Dr. Blondin; the nursing and support staff of the sixth floor, Family Medicine, St. Boniface Hospital; and his special friend Pat Jorgensen.
