Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMAXEMINIO (MAX) MEDEIROS It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather on December 15, 2007 at the age of 81 years. Maxeminio was predeceased by his parents, Maxeminio Sr. and Antonia Medeiros; by brother Eduardo, sister-in-law Olivia and sister Maria Dirce. He is survived by his loving wife Maria of 55 years; son Durval (Brenda); daughter Maria Melo (Eddy); grandchildren, Tracy (Marcus), Danny (Tia), Adam (Amber); special grandson Matthew; great-grandchildren, Alexander, Nicholas and Katrina; nephews, Horacio (Gail), Orlando (Charlene), Eddie and Joe and numerous family members and friends. Maxeminio was born in Sao Miguel, Açores, Portugal on February 3, 1926. He immigrated to Canada in 1965 with his family to provide a better life. He worked for Versatile until his retirement in 1991. For those who knew our Dad, he has always been helpful when family or friends needed a helping hand; he had a heart of gold, very genuine, a great sense of humor, thoughtful, understanding, kind and full of love. But his greatest love and devotion was his wife and providing his unconditional love for his children and grandchildren. For the Lord seen you grow weak and tired that He gathered you in His arms to take you home, We love you and we will miss you greatly our dear Pai. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thank you to the wonderful staff at the Deer Lodge Hospital T3 West for taking care of our Dad through the years and the dedicated care and compassion in his final days. As well to thank the staff at the Grace Hospital Emergency and the 3rd Floor, Unit 2 staff for their kind words and compassion shown towards our Dad. We would love to thank everyone for all your warm thoughts and payers for our Dad. 2 Timothy 4: 6-7; For I am now ready to be offered, and the time Of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at 8:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Parish, 181 Austin Street North. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Parish. Interment and reception to follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Father Medeiros officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
